Rain or shine, come join us for the annual Chula Vista Starlight Parade! There will be a Children’s Faire between 2-5pm. Visit and take photos with Santa, slide down a real-snow hill and participate in some make and take goodies! The parade will begin at 5pm along the west side of Third Avenue,, heading north from H Street to E Street. See you there!!!

Jazz on Third – Music for a Cause features some of San Diego’s favorite artists. The proceeds for each concert benefit community non-profit organizations that change lives.  In spirit of bringing world class musicians to Chula Vista, we are honor to have Quino McWhinney of Big Mountain and special guest performing Reggae Latin.

This month’s beneficiary is Rady Children’s Hospital - Pulmonary Department. The pulmonary team specializes in the care of infants, children and teenagers with pulmonary and respiratory diseases. They provide inpatient and outpatient services for the full spectrum of breathing problems. Our Gian-Micah Riggott was one of these babies; born at 24 weeks and weighing 1lb. 3oz. His lungs had not fully developed and he was born with an Apgar score of 0 at 10 minutes, which is a strong predictor of no life span in late-preterm & term infants. 

The employees of the Pulmonary Department loved and cared for Gian-Micah for the first six years of his life, which was spent with a ventilator.  Thanks to their support, Gian-Micah is now breathing on his own and makes everyone smile today! Join us and make a difference!

The Lemon Festival has been a celebration of Chula Vista’s heritage for over 20 years. On Sunday, August 5, the Third Avenue Village Association will close Third Avenue to traffic and open the street to hundreds of vendor booths and over 45,000 attendees to rejoice in the juicy jubilee.

The Lemon Festival includes a variety of lemon-infused activities, live bands, sour contests, a kid’s fun zone, a craft beer garden and hundreds of festive booths.

Overflowing with interactive features and giveaways from community partners, this annual tradition is more refreshing than the fresh-squeezed lemonade offered in abundance.
